Bermuda - 2 Bedroom Traditional in St. George's East (St. Georges) - Red Barracks
Vacation Home Details: By: Lynne Burns
Description of this Bermuda Home:
We are privileged to offer this historic building known as Red Barracks, rightly named, as the property once housed a barracks of Red Coats in the 18th century under the command of King George II. Red Barracks now takes its place as part of a family estate in St. Georges standing among lovely gardens, which include a vegetable garden, rose garden and a small farm yard of chickens and geese. Red Barracks itself has its own private gardens which have a tranquil Asian feel. Entering through the welcoming arms veranda in to the spacious kitchen and dining area your eyes are immediately drawn upwards to the exposed old cedar rafters. which are a complete contrast to the modern stainless steel kitchen. The comfortable sitting room overlooking the ocean is filled, like the rest of the house, with special eastern design accents. There are two (King) double bedrooms and bathrooms on the lower ground floor together with an office study area . The wide verandas which run around the entire house are one of the strongest features of the house and guests will enjoy many hours relaxing and dining in this wonderful space. With the ocean right on your doorstep you can swim from the dock or the small beach. Having the convenience of being able to walk in to the historic town of St Georges with its boutique shops and restaurants, this makes an ideal vacation home for someone who is looking for a stay in what is certainly a unique home.Contact email@example.com for bookings.
